The Georgian Coast: 365 days to experience the full spectrum of human emotions.
GoBeach. Making Georgia’s coast a year-round destination for the world.
Context
Georgia’s coast condenses a natural variety that usually spans entire countries — from deep mountain coves and pine groves to open winds and black sands.
The 110-km waterfront has everything it needs to stand alone as a self-sufficient destination capable of drawing a diverse global audience for a year-round lifestyle.
Obstacle
Today, the entire coastline is seen exclusively as a sun-and-swim destination, forcing a major geographic asset to shut down for nine months each year.
No source sets the narrative.
Everything we know about the coast is shaped by countless articles written through a summer-holiday lens. They split the coast into pieces that disappear into Georgia’s broader context and cannot make themselves heard. Up-to-date information on local facilities and services remains inaccessible.
Coastal development focuses on enclosed residential construction while ignoring the shore itself.
In autumn, beach equipment is removed, and the coast becomes deserted, along with the reasons to visit it.
High-spending tourists from Israel, India, East Asia, and Europe ignore the beaches because they offer them no functional utility or cultural fit.
To meet these audiences’ needs and keep the coast active longer, new services and products must emerge. Yet local communities cannot do this alone: customer acquisition costs are too high, and long-term investment in a 90-day season carries enormous risk.
Insight
Cold weather is not the cause of seasonality —
the lack of year-round infrastructure is.
Coasts in the Nordic countries and Northern Europe operate in harsher weather conditions than those in Georgia yet remain active all year, featuring seaside saunas, heated pools, functional pavilions, sports centres, and year-round cultural programmes.

Cold weather changes the nature of human demand.
The autumn and winter sea is a high-value environment for entirely different human scenarios:
The Point of No Return
Nearly 100 new residential complexes are taking the most picturesque places of the 110-km coast, and more are announced almost every month.
Each is built for the comfort of a limited number of residents and locks its piece of the coast into a single use for decades.
2–4 years, and the coast can lose its potential as a year-round destination for the world — forever.
Vision
The whole coast, alive 365 days a year
The coast’s year has six seasons of its own, and each one opens up new possibilities along every metre of shoreline, so that everyone can find something for themselves at any time of year.

Vision
Reveals not only what the coast is today, but what it aspires to become — a shared purpose for everyone.
It illustrates what year-round activity looks like, as well as the potential consequences of maintaining the status quo.
Analytics
Measures the present against the desired future, and the negative one.
This covers everything: all business on the coast, who makes up the audience, what needs remain unmet, and what formats are in demand in specific seasons and sectors.
Knowledge base
Removes uncertainty for businesses and those considering starting one.
Includes coastal regulations, a library of services needed, cost benchmarks, a supplier database, and more.

The board displays the current state of the coast, reflecting any changes in real time — from regulatory requirements to shifts in the business landscape. All businesses operate within a single shared environment.
